What brought me to KLR was the want within myself to do better for my family. I was supposed to graduate in 2017 But I got pregnant with my first son and every year I told myself i’d go back to school but I never did. After finding the courage to leave an abusive relationship, 4 more kids and getting married I finally decided it was time to get my education. I knew I wanted to be in the medical field but I’m highly squeamish so this course was right up my alley! So my last term at the Excel Center, Lafayette they were talking about certification classes and I just knew this one was for me. My process throughout this class was definitely trying. Aside from all the assignments there was to keep up on, some assignments were tougher than others. Although I never really had personal experiences with Katie I feel that she communicated very clearly and cared for the success of myself and the other classmates. I enjoyed every bit of this course I love how everyone was so supportive teachers and students included it just felt like a small close community. The thing that helped me the most was the repetition the way that we went over the fundamentals of chapter 1 was perfect to me honestly it felt like the information was drilled into my head! My plans are hopefully to work in the medication reconciliation position at Indiana University health hospital and the next goal after that would be to get at least two years of experience in the work field before going to Purdues pre-farm course to hopefully become a pharmacist one day!Â
