Georgia Hamilton
CPhT
My name is Georgia Hamilton , I am 18 and pregnant with my first baby girl . I’m from Charlestown Indiana, but attend school in Clarksville Indiana . I started at the excel center back in 2021 . When I first started at the excel center I heard about their certifications options . I thought they sounded hard to take so I decided to take a dual credit class . Which I passed but decided wasn’t for me. I then reached out to my coach and she showed me all the certifications, the only one that stuck out to me was Pharmacy technician classes. She gave me time to pick and do research , so I researched and still only decided on CPhT certifications. She then enrolled me in them on February 14th and then we had orientation on February 17th. Orientation definitely scared me on my decision, but I followed through and I’m so glad I did ! On orientation day it seemed like a lot, but the KLR teacher Katie told us not to stress because she will guide us through. At times it did get stressful, but it was such a learning experience and easy assignments as long as you did your work and studied . I learned so much in the last 8 weeks . The one thing I struggled with was more of a memory thing and remembering certain sig codes . When we go over the material in class Katie would always give us ways to remember or tell us the clues to remember which helped so much !! I’m so glad I got to take this class and as of today I’m now a CPhT and I couldn’t have done it without the KLR team . I will now start searching for a retail setting job and begin working as a CPhT ! My goal is to achieve more achievements in the healthcare industry and to always help people .Â
