My name is Jennifer Lopez, I am from El Salvador, A small country of Central America. I moved to The United States when I was 11, the situation in my country was really bad. I am 23 years old now, I entered at the excel center in 2018, I was really depressed at the moment so I quit. I have always felt like I couldn’t learn like other people, for me to learn takes time, and I got disappointed. I came back to the Excel Center in 2022, and was the best decision I could make. Since the beginning when my coach from the excel center talked to me about pharmacy technicians I really loved the idea, I heard about the KLR Medical Certification Training School, good things and I was really excited. I started the class in February 17, 2023 and end it in April 14, 2023. My experience in this class was kind of crazy, at first I was so scared, I freaked out about the medication names because English is my second language, I thought I was the only one that couldn’t pronounce them, then I found out that the pronunciation of some drugs takes years to do it. I was scared of all the assignments too, because I took a lot of time in every assignment and I thought I was never going to finish, but I proof me wrong and I did it, I ended up loving this course. My experience with Katie was great, she’s so sweet and hardworking, she is in everywhere helping us out, I admire her so much for how good she does her job, and all the KLR team too. I’m a very shy person, but everyone helped me so much, and I am so grateful with everyone, and I am grateful with Naomi Willis, she took the time to meet with me one on one and helped me study. I really enjoyed this class, I loved the quotes that Mr Brent always used to tell us, that motivated me so much. I loved all the guest speaker that we had, all the assignments that really helped me, the projects, and the flash cards, definitely I am going to keep them. I’m so excited and sad that the class ended, I am going to miss everyone. My next step is finding a job of course, I’m so excited to work as a pharmacy technician, I am so happy, now I know that I can do hard things.
