What brought me to KLR Medical Training school was me wanting to take a course for Pharmacy Technician. I heard the course was expensive and quite lengthy. I didn’t have the funds and I was always working trying to provide for my children so I didn’t have the time to just take off and complete a course. I too am a single mom of 3. I’m originally from Gary, Indiana but I moved to Indianapolis about 12 years ago. I had my first child at the age of 15 and from there I have been trying to figure out what I could do to have a career for myself. I’ve tried many things and always knew helping people is something that I loved to do. I watched my aunt work in Pharmacy for years and thought I would be a great fit for it as well. I found a school that would help pay for the course and jumped right on it. I wasn’t sure if I would have completed it or not because I had so much going at the time the class started. I was injured at work and was trying to make ends meet from being off due to the injury. I just kept thinking about whether I would finish or not. After starting the course I ended up in an accident in my car and was like wow another roadblock. After everything that I was going through I can honestly say that I was still able to complete and pass the course with no problems. I had a wonderful instructor Mr. Brent. He was very helpful and also patient with the class. He made the assignments fun and easy to understand. My coach Madeleine was very helpful as well. She made sure that all my assignments were done and that I was attending every class on time. I thank them so much for all the dedication and hard work that they have put into the training and the assignments. I plan on using my certificate to find work in a pharmacy. I have always wanted to work in pharmacy. Now I have to decide whether I want it to be retail or another setting. I can say that I have already interviewed for two positions since completing the course.Â
